What do you think about the following new definition of an individual under Section 1.06 Texas Penal Code:   "  'Individual' means a human being who is alive, incuding an unborn child at every stage of gestation from fertilization until birth."    [Note: Section 19.06 protects the female's right to obtain an abortion and doctors from performing consensual abortions. The "embryonic stage" is roughly the first two months of existence from fertilization until development into a fetus.]
I favor this new Texas definition of an "individual" which protects the human embryo and fetus at all stages of development, as well as the person "born alive," from criminal homicide  .
I favor protecting a person "born alive" and a human fetus at all stages of development, but not an embryo, from criminal homicide.
I favor protecting a person "born alive" and a viable fetus, but not an unviable fetus and embryo, from criminal homicide.
I favor the common law and Model Penal Code rule that defines an individual for purposes of the criminal homicide law as a "person who is born alive."
